FALL 2010 - Annual National Retreat

Registration period is now over!

The registration for the Annual National Retreat is now “officially” over! Thanks to everyone who applied, you will receive the confirmation shortly after the selection process is completed. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Changing the world can be exhausting! Luckily, the Girls Action National Retreat is coming up! It’s the perfect time to get energized and inspired.

The National Retreat is an annual gathering for members of our Girls Action network. It is an amazing opportunity for girls’ programmers to build capacity and skills, exchange resources, and share learnings. The retreat inspires and energizes participants; fostering new collaborations, analysis, and ideas.

Annual National Network Retreat
October 28th – 31st, 2010

Again this year, the Retreat will provide participants with a chance to take part in skill-building workshops, share their experiences and realities with other brilliant people, and celebrate the work that we have accomplished in the last year.

What are the objectives of the National Retreat?

The Retreat will offer opportunities for girls’ program organizers to:

• Network and collaborate
• Reflect and build new skills
  
• Connect with girls’ program leaders and participants across the country
  
• Plan for the next Day of Action
  

There will be time and space to explore:

• Movement building
• Complexity theory as a tool for change
  
• Fundraising and developing the skills and tools to sustain your work
  
• Communicating and creating strategies to get your message out
  
• Networking, resources exchanges and collaborative relationship building
  
• Relaxation, self-care, creation and celebration!

I am not a Network Member… can I take part?

Only members can participate in the Retreat – but you can register for the National Retreat and become a member at the same time! As a member, you will receive invitations to all of our events, you will be connected to over 200 organizations across the country that work with girls and young women, and you can count on our support in your future projects.

When?

The National Retreat begins on Thursday, October 28th and runs until Sunday, October 31st, 2010.
